Experience and occupation

Mei Mei began her career with Binder Hamlyn in United Kingdom, and after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), moved to The Audit Commission and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) London before returning to Malaysia with PwC. She held several C-Suite and Executive Leadership positions in the Sime Darby Group and Sapura Energy Berhad, including Chief Financial Officer roles and SVP of Strategy and Corporate Finance. 

She was the Chairperson of Paratus Energy Services Ltd, a leading energy services group listed on the Euronext Oslo stock exchange until May 2026, having led the company successfully since inception, overseeing the company's evolution through its transformative period, spearheaded the restructuring and subsequent carve-out of Paratus from Seadrill including strengthening the financial position of the company and taking it through an IPO, and providing a high yielding dividend policy to shareholders. 

She is an Independent Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chairperson of Gas Malaysia Berhad and an Advisor to the Board of Trustees and Management for Teach for Malaysia (TFM).
